Mary Ellen Tucker, 84

Mary Ellen Tucker, 84 of Galax, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

She was born in Galax on March 6, 1927, to Talmadge and Clara Belle Hale.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lee Tucker.

Survivors include her daughter, Verna Tucker; step-children, Beatrice Young and Thomas Tucker, all are of Galax; host of grandchildren; host of great-grandchildren; a host of step-grandchildren; two special nieces; and a host of nieces and nephews.
