Marie Pearman, 92

Marie Pearman, 92, of Ivanhoe, died Saturday May 19, 2012, in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born in Carroll County on Feb. 6, 1920, to Tyra Dolphus and Addie Forrest Bourne Shaffner.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carlie William Pearman.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Daisy and Jim Lambert Fries; sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Mary Pearman of Ivanhoe, Roy Lee and Michelle Pearman of Front Royal; daughter-in-law, Anita Pearman of Ivanhoe; son-in-law, Roy Bowman of Manassas, brothers, Earl Shaffner, Coy Shaffner, Kyle Shaffner and Virgil Shaffner, all of Fries; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Mount Hope United Methodist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Officiating minister was Pastor Mike Burton.
