HILLSVILLE — Monday’s indictments included cases involving attempted capital murder of a Carroll County deputy, an abduction, a caregiver who allegedly scammed elderly clients and a man who set off a search of Woodlawn and Laurel after escaping from custody.
Indictments are formal charges handed down by a grand jury, not findings of guilt. Those indicted will appear in court for the offenses.
Indicted for attempted capital murder was Markus Timothy Reid, 52, from Floyd County in a July incident.
