CANA — A woman was hospitalized for an eye injury after a report of a domestic dispute at 863 Pauls Creek Road last Thursday.
Deputies from the Carroll County Sheriff's Office responded at about 2:20 p.m. after the report of a verbal confrontation at that address, according to First Sgt. Pat Harner. The two participants were identified as Patricia Hill and Robert Jones.
The verbal argument is said to have turned violent when one of them picked up a golf club.
Deputies charged Jones, 71, with malicious wounding.
