A Grayson man is charged with arson after investigators found that the cause of an Elk Creek fire was suspicious.
On Feb. 21 at 9:16 p.m., members of the Elk Creek Fire Department and the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a house fire at 84 Archery Lane.
According to a police report, the fire originated in a bedroom. After an investigation by the sheriff’s office and an arson investigator with the Virginia State Police, the fire was determined to be arson.
Tommy Lee Pugh, 29, of Independence, was charged with arson and violating a protective order. Pugh is being held in the New River Valley Regional Jail without bond.
