ROANOKE — A 23-year-old Galax man will spend 78 months in federal prison for dealing methamphetamine, after a sentencing hearing Monday.
Allen Michael Mallory, along with one co-defendant, was named in a federal grand jury indictment in August 2011, charging him with conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of a substance containing meth, a schedule II controlled substance.
Mallory pleaded guilty to the charge in November 2011.
In his sentencing, Mallory avoided an enhanced sentence for carrying a weapon, unlike his co-defendant, court documents noted.
