Speed was a factor in a Virginia 100 accident in Pulaski County that left a 26-year-old Hillsville woman dead on Sept. 15, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.
A report by Pulaski County Deputy Paul Holbrook identified Misty Dawn Davis as dying from the single-vehicle accident near the New River Valley Airport in Dublin.
Davis, the front seat passenger, was ejected from the 1995 Acura Integra, driven at the time by Dustin Hodges, 24, of Max Meadows. Davis was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.
Deputies found that the Integra had left the road at about 5:50 p.m. while traveling north on 100, went into the median and overturned several times, coming to a stop in the south bound lanes.
Hodges, who was wearing a seatbelt, went to Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment.
A backseat passenger, Justin Presgraves of Dublin, was flown from the scene.
Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office officials said charges were pending in the crash.
