Imogene Davis Weddle, 89, of Galax, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at her home.

She was born on Aug. 16, 1922, in North Carolina.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Weddle.

Survivors include her son, Darrell Weddle of Galax; a grandson and spouse, David and Nikki Weddle; sisters, Ethel Woodcock of Brownsville, Ky., and Nellie Brooks of Rappahanock; brother, Elwood Davis of Ennice, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
