Hortons celebrate 50th anniversary

Ranza and Doris Horton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 6.
They were married by the Rev. Donald Clay, a Church of the Brethren pastor, at his home in Willis.

They have lived 44 years on Oak Grove Road in Austinville.
The couple enjoyed a weeks vacation at Holden Beach, N.C., with all their grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and daughter, and then a surprise party at Carter’s Park with family.
The Horton’s have one daughter, Tammy Jones; four grandchildren, Kevin, Tristan, Ashley, and Matthew; and three great-grandchildren, Leighlan, Ansley, and Allie.
Ranza enjoys antique tractor-pulling and farming, and Doris loves gardening and playing her auto-harp.  
They are members of Coulson Church of the Brethren in Hillsville.
