HILLSVILLE — A 24-year-old Hillsville man wanted for violation of probation tried to run from officers before being arrested last Wednesday, according to a Hillsville Police Department news release.
Police say that Noah Clayton Coble was to be served with a probation violation on March 5, when First Sgt. Robby Martin and Investigator Alan Gravley showed up at the Cranberry Apartments in Hillsville.
“After a brief foot pursuit through the Jett Street area, the suspect was apprehended by officers,” the news release said.
The officers charged Coble with probation violation, according to the news release. He was taken to the New River Valley Regional Jail.
Carroll County Chief Deputy Gary Bourne, Cpl. David Walls and Deputy Trevor Jefferson assisted the town officers.
