Hillsville PD moves to new home

HILLSVILLE — From a proverbial back alley, the Hillsville Police Department has now moved to a place with a commanding presence on Main Street.

The police department went from a cramped and cluttered space on Mill Street to a stately, brick two-story headquarters near the town's biggest crossroads — Main Street and Stuart Drive.

Police Chief Steve Williams noted the new facility at 130 N. Main St. has all the positive features that the former lacked.
