ABINGDON — A Hillsville woman will serve two years in federal prison after pleading guilty to counterfeit check fraud charges.
Regina Hines Hill was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Abingdon on Dec. 12. Judge James P. Jones imposed a sentence of 24 months on each count, to run concurrently. Hill will also be on probation for three years following her release from prison and will have to pay nearly $24,000 in restitution to a bank.
