INDEPENDENCE — Residents of the Grant community in Grayson County will soon have access to high speed internet.
Supervisors held a public hearing last month regarding an application by the Blue Ridge Crossroads Economic Development Authority to construct a tower on the property of Oak Hill Academy.
Zoning Administrator Lisa Barker said that the tower would serve Grayson Highlands school and help improve communications for the sheriff’s department and rescue squads in the western end of the county.
