INDEPENDENCE — A Grayson County Circuit Court grand jury, meeting in special session Aug. 8, returned additional indictments against Frederick Phillip Hammer of Crumpler, N.C., in connection with the alleged murder and robbery of three men at a Grayson tree farm earlier this year.
An indictment is a formal charge, not a finding of guilt.
Ronald Hudler of Mouth of Wilson; his son, Frederick Hudler; and a farm hand, John Steven Miller Jr.; were shot to death on Jan. 24.
