“Smoke on the Mountain,” a hilarious musical play that takes place in the sanctuary of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in North Carolina during the Depression years of the late 1930s, will be performed by the Galax Theatre Guild Saturdays, Oct. 2 and 9 at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays, Oct. 3 and 10 at 2:30 p.m. at the Rex Theater in downtown Galax.
