Grayson takes MED championships

HILLSVILLE –– Grayson County earned a title sweep while all six area cross country teams advanced to region competition during Mountain Empire and Southwest District cross country championships last week.

In the MED meet at the Southwestern Virginia Training Center, Grayson County held off Galax by eight points to win the boys’ championship while the Blue Devils nipped Galax by three points to take home the girls’ crown.
