INDEPENDENCE — After months of adding and subtracting from various department budgets, the Grayson County Board of Supervisors is ready to advertise its 2009-10 spending plan.
Supervisors voted to move forward with the advertisement of the public hearing, set for June 9 at 6:30 p.m. The budget totals $16.38 million and includes various increases to taxes and fees that will affect Grayson residents.
Among those increases are:
• a 4-cent increase on the real estate levy.
• a 25-cent increase on personal property tax.
