INDEPENDENCE — Grayson County narrowly missed its window to pay off some long-standing loans in a debt reduction plan, but there could still be some silver lining to the situation, according to County Administrator Jonathan Sweet.
“Good deeds don’t go unpunished, and unfortunately the debt reduction plan may be one of those deeds,” Sweet told the Grayson County Board of Supervisors during its final budget work session on June 4. “The plan was great, but the timeliness was off by about a month.”
