INDEPENDENCE — Grayson County leaders are aggressively pushing a prescription drug discount card program that they believe is under-utilized.
County Administrator Jonathan Sweet spoke about the National Association of Counties (NACo) program during the board of supervisors' regular meeting last week. It offers Grayson residents an average of 20 percent off prescription medicines.
Sweet provided the board with a document showing that only 43 people in the county of more than 17,000 utilized the program in May.
