In a nationwide fugitive apprehension operation, led by the U.S. Marshal Service, members of the Grayson County Sheriff’s office — sworn in as federal agents — located and apprehended criminals wanted by local agencies for serious felonies.
More than 239 agents in Western Virginia were sworn in as U.S. Marshals for the operation and more than 600 arrests were made.
Grayson officers assisted with these arrests:
John Williams of Fries was arrested for distribution of an imitation drug and possessing a firearm by a convicted felon.
