Grayson grand jury issues indictments

INDEPENDENCE — A Galax man was indicted by a Grayson County Circuit Court grand jury on Oct. 25 on five sex charges that allegedly occurred in the early 1990s.

Donnie Ray Anders, 36, was indicted for aggravated sexual battery, two counts of object sexual penetration, sodomy by force and sodomy of a child under the age of 13.

The offenses allegedly occurred between Jan. 1, 1990 and Dec. 31, 1991.

Other indictments included:

• Toby Joe Barley, possession of a schedule I drug.

• Christopher Aaron Blevins, embezzlement.
