INDEPENDENCE — Indictments against four suspects that were sealed by a Grayson County Circuit Court grand jury have been opened.

The grand jury met July 25 and sealed several indictments. They were unsealed after the warrants were served.

According to court records:

• Colt Andrew Matthews, 29, of Galax, was indicted on two counts of aggravated sexual battery and two misdemeanor accounts of assault on a family member.

• Larry Dwayne Lineberry, 45, of Independence, was indicted on one count of possession of a schedule II controlled substance (meth).

• Two Galax residents, Pamela Jane Bond and Anthony Wayne Bond, were indicted on one count each of welfare fraud.

Trial dates are pending for the suspects.

An indictment indicates that a grand jury found sufficient evidence for a case to go to trial, and does not indicate guilt. All of those indicted are innocent until proven guilty.
