Grayson grand jury indicts 20

INDEPENDENCE — A Grayson County Circuit Court grand jury indicted 20 people on 27 charges last Friday.

Charges ranged from a third DWI offense in 10 years to assault of a police officer.

Indictments included:

• Jassen Allen Jones — practice profession after license suspension.

• Jeffery Lee Kilby — possession of a schedule II controlled substance (meth).

• Marcia Lee Williams — DWI (third offense in 10 years).

• James Edward Clyburn — communicate threat in writing at school.

• Amber Nicole Hackler — DWI (third offense in 10 years), assault on a police officer.

• James Newton Johnson — possession of a schedule II controlled substance (meth).

• Frank Jermaine Valentine — assault on a family member after having been convicted of at least two prior offenses.

• Robert Douglas Crockett — sale, gift or distribution of marijuana; manufacturing marijuana not for personal use.

• William Stuart Sexton — assault on a police officer (Shane Widner), assault on a police officer (Deputy B.S. Brown). Both officers are members of the Grayson County Sheriff’s Dept.

• David Lee Simpson — aggravated malicious wounding.

• John Robert Simpson — aggravated malicious wounding.

• David Clayton Lineberry — DWI (third offense in 10 years).

• Edgar Mendieta Gil — malicious wounding of Julio Flores Balderas.

• Randy Mack Hedrick — possession of firearm after having been convicted of a felony.

• Pamela Sue Ramirez — statutory burglary and grand larceny of the residence of Summer McMillan; statutory burglary and grand larceny of the residence of Shelly Poe.

• Daniel Wayne Miller — possession with intent to sell or distribute a schedule II controlled substance (meth).

• Brian Kenneth Fletcher — possession with intent to distribute an imitation schedule I or II drug (reportedly meth).

• Fred Harris O’Neal — driving after being found to be a habitual offender.

• Joseph Robert Slayton — possession of marijuana with the intent to sell, give or distribute; possession of a schedule II controlled substance (oxycodone).

• Jesse Robert Simpson — possession of an imitation controlled substance with the intent to distribute.
