Grayson grand jury certifies charges

A Galax man was indicted on two counts of aggravated sexual battery against a female younger than age 13 by a Grayson County Circuit Court grand jury last Friday.

William Estil Crigger, 29, of Skyline Highway, was one of 15 people indicted by the grand jury on a total of 20 charges.

An indictment is a formal charge and not a finding of guilt.

Other charges alleged in indictments:

• Jason Scott Cornett, eluding police, disregarding a command to stop.

• Donald Zane Roberts, Jr., driving while intoxicated, third offense within 10 years.

• Donna S. Culler, felony bad check.

• Thomas Carson Lineberry, making a false statement on consent; attempted possession of firearm after having been convicted of a felony.

• Terry Allen Henry, making a false statement on consent; attempted possession of firearm after having been convicted of a felony.

• Stanley Amburs Blevins, attempted possession of firearm after conviction of a felony.

• Paul A. Rocha, object sexual penetration.

• Beverly Ann Street, driving while intoxicated, third offense within 10 years.

• Donald Smith Turnmire, eluding police, disregarding command to stop.

• Brandon Alexander Berze, assault on a law officer; eluding police, disregarding command to stop.

• Thomas Sutton Million, grand larceny. He is accused of taking ginseng with a value of more than $200 from Bobby Spicer.

• James Dexter Felts, possession of a schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine).

• Elizabeth Jean Baublitz, possession of a schedule II controlled substance (hydromorphone).

• Anthony Dwayne Sawyers, sale, gift or distribution of marijuana; possession of a schedule II controlled substance (oxycodone, acetaminophen).
