HILLSVILLE — Local officials say that a spay-neuter grant meant to reduce the number of unwanted pets in Hillsville continues on track.
Hillsville and Twin County Humane Society officials teamed up to win a two-year, $70,000 grant from PetSmart Charities to curb the population of homeless dogs and cats in all of zip code 24343 — animals that often turn into a nuisance and end up getting euthanized at the Twin County Regional Animal Shelter.
