INDEPENDENCE — Additional Grayson County grand jury indictments have been unsealed and suspects arrested.
An indictment is a formal charge, not a finding of guilt.
The grand jury met Oct. 22 and returned the following indictments.
• Thomas Ray Archer of Galax — abuse or child neglect.
• Cynthia Ann Hyder of Independence — attempted grand larceny of a firearm.
• Cody William Rutherford of Fries — possession of a schedule II controlled substance (meth).
• Michael Conway Muller of Fries — possession of a firearm after having been convicted of a felony.
• Steven Nicholas Nunn Jr. of Independence — obtain money by fraud.
• Heather Metchele Clontz, who is being held in the New River Valley Regional Jail in Dublin — possession of a schedule II controlled substance (meth).
• Cheyenne Paydon Bedsaul of Galax — sale, gift or distribute a schedule II controlled substance (meth).
• David Ray Fields of Galax — conspiracy to sell, give or distribute a schedule II controlled substance (meth); conspiracy to sell, give or distribute a schedule II controlled substance (third offense).
