Galax High School Principal Bill Sturgill and Galax School Board Superintendent Sam Cook couldn't hide their excitement as they walked through the hallways of GHS, pointing out each recently restored classroom, rooms that are undergoing construction and the soon-to-be main entrance.
This is all a part of an $8 million renovation project, which is expected to be complete in October. The school was built in the 1950s and hasn't had much of an update since.
