George, Mollett named to all-region football teams

 Deion George of Galax and Jacob Mollett of Carroll County were named first-team all-region while Carroll, Galax and Grayson County filled a total of six second-team positions on the all-Region C and all-Region IV football teams.

George, a 6-foot-2 junior wide receiver, caught 45 passes for 953 yards and 12 touchdowns as Galax finished a 9-4 season as the Region C Division 1 runner-up. George had at least two catches in all 13 games and had three 100-yard outings.
