Galax City Public Schools is filing suit against Vannoy Construction and architecture and engineering firm OWPR Inc. due to problems with leaking windows that were installed at Galax High School by subcontractor Bell Windows.
School officials said Bell Windows of Stokesdale, N.C., was the subcontractor and the responsibility of Vannoy and OWPR, so the suit is against those companies and not Bell.
The installation of the windows was part of an $8 million renovation to GHS, which began in 2007. The renovation was to be completed in 2008.
