Galax to move ahead with road projects

Galax City Council has approved the city manager's recommendation of how to have the Virginia Department of Transportation proceed with the Glendale Road project and other road improvements in Galax.

Going with a smaller-scale project at Glendale's intersection with U.S. 58 would free up funds for those other projects, which include traffic signal improvements, realignment of Cranberry Road, pedestrian safety along 58, bridge repairs and enhancements to South Main Street.
