HILLSVILLE — A 34-year-old Hillsville man faces felony charges as the result of a forgery investigation by the Hillsville and Galax police departments.
Hillsville Police Department’s Sgt. James Alderman and Sgt. Alan Gravley arrested Scott Eric Jarels on April 19.
The arresting officers served three warrants from the Galax investigation and Alderman obtained 18 additional warrants against Jarels, including six each for forgery, uttering and obtaining money by false pretenses, as well as a charge of driving while suspended, according to a news release from Hillsville police.
