Four earn all-state in Group A track

RADFORD ––Galax’s Manuel Echeagaray and Anna Sexton and Grayson County’s Michael Davis and Rosie Kirby placed among the top eight in their respective events and earned all-state status during the Group A track and field championships at Radford University’s Cupp Stadium.

Davis, a senior headed for Lees-McCrae on a cross country scholarship, placed fourth in the 1600 meters with a time of 4 minutes, 35.4 seconds, edging defending state champion Nathan Brame of Radford for the position. He also placed fifth in the 3200 in 10:34.5.
