Firefighters not charged, but won't be reinstated

HILLSVILLE — A Carroll supervisor sought to reinstate two Laurel Fork Fire Department volunteers after a three-year suspension after an investigation that yielded no charges.
The issues involved the purchase of a vehicle for the agency. Virginia State Police obtained a search warrant for the Laurel Fork Fire Department May 12, 2009, based on an allegation of rigging a bid for a vehicle, according to court records.
