Ex-officer now faces drug, gun charges in Carroll

A former Pulaski police officer arrested June 11 in Wythe County after allegedly attempting to purchase drugs now faces two additional charges in his home county of Carroll.

Virginia State Police originally charged Christopher Franklin Bond, 32, of 7089 Coulson Church Road in Austinville, with attempting to purchase methamphetamine, a felony; attempt to purchase the painkiller Loritab and possession of marijuana, both misdemeanors.

On Wednesday, Bond resigned from the Pulaski Police Department, according to a press release from Police Chief G.W. Roche.
