LRICHMOND — For sportsmen, at long last, times are changing in Virginia.
The Virginia Senate has approved legislation to repeal a long-standing state ban on some forms of Sunday hunting, a development that all but guarantees the days are numbered for the decades-old prohibition.
Russell County Democratic Sen. Phillip Puckett’s SB154 was approved on a 29-10 vote. It would allow Sunday hunting on private property with the consent of landowners.
