Dr. Larry LeGrand of Roaring Gap, N.C., passed away Jan. 27, 2012, at Alleghany Memorial Hospital in Sparta, N.C.

He was born Oct. 7, 1940, in Granite City, Ill., to Melvin and Nadine Nolan LeGrand.
