The last time I checked, this is 2012 and not the 1960s.
What a sad and disgusting time in our country when some want to turn back the clock to the days of racial divide, violence, acid tongue. Morons who proclaim to be peacemakers and men of the cloth who are wolves that come in sheep’s clothing.
A few in our society have never grown up. They are wet behind he ears and out of sync with reality and the real world.
Politics stink. It used to be “the economy, stupid.” Now it is leadership, vision and who will lead our great nation through these dangerous and troubled times for the next four years.
Overshadowing this is women’s issues — breastfeeding in public, contraception and their rightful place in a male world.
No one has a lock on these matters. A woman doesn’t have to walk behind any man.
As times become harder to make a living, support the family and to keep a roof over one’s head, hoping for a better future, one’s faith, heart and willpower helps move one’s life along.
To you who do care, do something from the heart. Pray about the ills of society.
As mountain music starts up I remember the ones that have graced our hearts with their great talent and personality — Houston Caldwell, Alan Mastin, Barbara Poole and Greg Hooven. God rest their souls.
