Devils ousted; Tide reaches final

James River (21-3) pounded out 22 hits and scored 14 runs before Grayson County (13-10) scratched a hit as the Knights cruised to a 23-4 win in the Region C Division 2 softball tournament semifinals.

Thirteen different Knights had base hits. Jenna Sprinkle led the charge with a home run among her three hits. Haley Shotwell struck out four in five innings.

Taylor Hale connected on a two-run home run for Grayson County and drove in three of the Blue Devils’ four runs.
