HILLSVILLE — A Wednesday search of a home in Cana led to the discovery of guns, drugs and paraphernalia, according to information from the Carroll Sheriff's Office.
Deputies have warrants that charge Thomas Eric Lowe, 38, after serving a search warrant at the home.
"During the search deputies discovered several long guns, a sawed-off shotgun, a handgun, crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, illegal prescription narcotics and paraphernalia commonly used for the sale of illegal drugs," the news release said.
The authorities also seized several ATVs and motorcycles that had been stolen.
Charges against Lowe include possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of a schedule II drug, possession of firearms by a convicted felon, possession of a sawed-off shotgun, possession a schedule II drug while in possession of a firearm and possession of stolen property.
"Lowe is currently a fugitive from justice for a state probation violation," according to the sheriff's office.
This three-month investigation arose with deputies working closely with members of the public to combat the sale of illegal drugs and the related problems of stolen property and possession of weapons associated with distribution of illegal drugs, Sheriff Warren Manning said.
