Dennis Lee Lucas, 64, of Galax, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at his home.

He was born in Montgomery County on May 22, 1948, to Clarence and Lena Clementine Frazier Lucas.

Survivors include his step-sisters, Una Keene of Bunker Hill, W.Va., and Betty Craig of Amherst; step-niece, Gerry Dooley of Lovingston; his foster family, Eddie and Carolyn Russell and their families of Galax; and many friends at the Southwest Virginia Training Center.
