CVS robbers arrested

Brian Richard Sloppy, 32, of New Millport, Pa., and Renee Sue Lucas, 22, of Follansbee, W.Va., were arrested and charged on Sunday in connection with a robbery at CVS Pharmacy in Galax.
Galax police were notified at about 3 p.m. on Sunday that an armed suspect, identified as Sloppy, entered the drug store on East Stuart Drive and gave a pharmacy technician a note that demanded Schedule II narcotics.
Galax Police Chief Rick Clark said that, although Lucas did not enter CVS, she was involved in planning the robbery. He could not comment further on her involvement.
