Couple sentenced in ID theft case

ROANOKE — An Elk Creek couple who admitted to stealing the identity of an elderly man for whom they provided in-home care were sentenced in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia in Roanoke Monday.
Robbie Kevin Poole, 50, and his wife, Kathryn Rebecca Poole, 58, each pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy to commit bank fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft.
