An accident on May 12 left a Grayson County vehicle totaled, but no charges were filed.
According to State Trooper J.A. Vaughan’s accident report, Grayson Animal Control Officer Glen Richardson, 35, of Galax, was driving on Route 715 about one mile west of U.S. 58 when he met a 1994 Ford Pickup driven by Lynn Mast, 44, of Hillsville.
The report said Mast was pulling a flatbed trailer around a sharp curve on a narrow gravel road. The trailer of the vehicle was across the center of the roadway and Richardson — driving a 1996 Chevrolet pickup registered to the Grayson County Board of Supervisors — first struck an embankment and then the trailer.
Damage to Mast’s vehicle was listed as $500, and $2,000 to the truck driven by Richardson.
The report faulted neither party and no charges were filed.
