Council working to keep training center open

HILLSVILLE — Thousands of signatures opposing the closure of the Southwestern Virginia Training Center are on their way to Richmond, collected by the Parent Advocacy and Advisory Council (PAAC) throughout the Twin Counties.
Charlotte Barkley placed the petitions with 5,367 signatures into the hands of Israel O’Quinn, General Assembly delegate representing the 5th District, to take back and share with other state officials.
