Citizens worry about potential zoning changes

-A A +A

Denying rumors of a repeal or reworking of the county’s zoning ordinance, Grayson officials say any changes would involve public input.

By Patrick Smith

INDEPENDENCE — Several citizens were on hand to ask questions at a Nov. 19 Grayson Planning Commission public hearing, shifting the focus of the meeting from the county’s updated 2013 comprehensive plan to a discussion about the zoning ordinance.
Several citizens were concerned about rumors that the Grayson County Board of Supervisors wants to revoke the zoning ordinance or make drastic changes.
Now that it has heard from citizens, the planning commission will send the updated plan to the supervisors for review.
