CCHS yearbook places first in state

HILLSVILLE — Strong student performance on the Carroll County High School Cavalier Classic yearbook sparked a “three-peat,” with the publication earning statewide awards.
It’s the third time in a row that the yearbook staff has brought back honors in the Virginia High School League competition, chosen from among 1,000 total entries in three classes, says teacher and advisor Shannon Dalton.
The book, titled “Spark,” won first place and the students won many awards for their work.
