Cavaliers fall to Bassett again on late score

BASSETT ––Bassett quarterback Dashaun Valentine’s 6-yard touchdown run with less than a minute remaining propelled the Bengals to a 14-7 nondistrict win over Carroll County on Friday at Ed Bassett Stadium.

Carroll County had five turnovers, including an interception returned for a touchdown in the first quarter and two fumbles deep in its own territory in the fourth period. The second fumble with 3:35 remaining gave the Bengals the ball at the Carroll County 30-yard line, and set up their final scoring drive.
