HILLSVILLE — After a contractor held up completion of the Airport Road water project for four months, the Carroll Public Service Authority will seek liquidated damages.
The project is now largely completed, except for a road bore to the east side of Interstate 77. PSA Director Ray Hill said that valves for the rest of the project — mostly residential areas — could have been turned on earlier.
The company that built the water storage tank, Mid-Atlantic Storage Systems, came in late and then the tank leaked and had to be fixed, Hill told the authority.
