HILLSVILLE — The federal government has provided Carroll County with a big chunk of funding to help pay for new water and sewer systems, and much of the money is in the form of low-interest loans.
Ninth District Rep. Rick Boucher fixed the amount of recent federal funding coming to Carroll County at $11.5 million. Of that, more than half comes from loans.
The money is for a variety of projects:
• the regional effort to supply most Public Service Authority water systems from the New River at Austinville,
