HILLSVILLE — Carroll County added about $757,000 in land value between assessments, bringing the total of taxable real estate up to almost $2.6 billion, according to information from the assessor’s office.
Assessor Janie Harrison reported the preliminary figures to the Carroll supervisors at their meeting Jan. 14 in an update on the county’s first in-house reassessment.
She expected the values to change somewhat once appeals hearings take place.
